Designer for a Day
Focused Squarespace support to bring clarity, polish, and momentum to your website, without a full redesign.
A dedicated block of time to work on your site together. Ideal if you already have a Squarespace website but feel stuck, overwhelmed or unsure what to prioritise next and want thoughtful, practical progress in a supported way.
Website updates, minus the overwhelm
You know your website needs attention, but finding the time, headspace, or confidence to work on it yourself feels hard.
And handing it over for a big project doesn’t feel quite right either.
A Designer for a Day gives you focused, contained support, without dragging things out or making it more complicated than it needs to be.
We decide what matters most, I handle the technical and design side, and you leave the day knowing things have actually moved forward.
Who This Works Best For?
It’s a good fit if:
✧ Already have a Squarespace website in place, even if it feels unfinished or a bit messy
✧ Feel stuck, frustrated, or unsure what to tackle next and want help prioritising
✧ Want expert design input and practical progress without committing to a full redesign
✧ Prefer calm, collaborative support rather than fast-paced, high-pressure work
✧ Value clarity, structure, and thoughtful decisions over quick fixes or flashy changes
It’s not a good fit if:
✧ Are brand new to business or still figuring out your offer
✧ Are looking for done-for-you copywriting across the whole site
✧ Feel very unclear about what you want or need help with right now
✧ Need a full website build from scratch
✧ Have a tight, inflexible deadline
What Can a Design Day Be Used For?
-
We'll tidy up the look and feel of your site so it feels cohesive, intentional, and professional without starting from scratch.
-
We'll look at how your pages are organised and how visitors move through your site, making it clearer and easier to navigate.
-
Need a new page or some content updated? We can add or refine pages so your site reflects where your business is right now.
-
We'll work through the SEO basics: page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and image optimisation so your site is set up to be found.
-
We'll tackle the technical bits that feel fiddly, contact forms, email sign-ups, booking links, and Squarespace settings, so everything works as it should.
-
This is your space to ask questions and learn as we go. I'll show you how to make simple updates yourself so you feel confident managing your site after the day is done.

Ask a Squarespace Web Designer
-
No. You don’t need to sit with me throughout the day. I’ll check in with you at agreed points if decisions are needed, but otherwise you’re free to step away while the work happens.
-
I’m happy to help refine existing copy and guide you on structure, tone, and clarity during the session. You’ll provide the main copy and images, but I can also recommend stock image resources or additional support if needed.
-
After the session, you’ll receive a short summary of what we worked on, along with any notes or recommendations for next steps. You’re also welcome to explore ongoing support options if you’d like continued help.
-
Yes, it can. Some clients use a Design Day as a standalone refresh, while others use it as a stepping stone into a larger custom project. There’s no pressure either way.
-
-
That depends on the scope and complexity of what you’d like help with. Before booking, we’ll agree clear priorities so the time feels focused and achievable. The aim isn’t to rush through a long list, but to make meaningful progress on the areas that matter most.
-
If we reach the end of the session and there’s more you’d like help with, you can book additional support — whether that’s another Design Day, a half-day session, or ongoing care. We’ll talk through the best next step calmly and honestly.
-
You’ll receive a short preparation guide outlining what to gather ahead of time, such as login access, key links, and any notes or priorities. This helps us use the day well without over-preparing or feeling overwhelmed.
Before the day itself, you’ll need to send over any necessary assets – like images, copy, or branding materials – so I have everything ready to dive straight in.
